花园, 花县 [faa yun]
flower garden / flower county

My parents migrated from Guangzhou to Sydney in 1999, and have built their life here since.

In Cantonese the word 园/县 [yun] can refer to both garden and county.

Flower garden [花园] refers to my creative practice, as well as the hotel [花园酒店] my father lived in while working in Guangzhou, where he eventually met my mother. Flower county [花县] is where my grandfather grew up in, now known as [花都 / faa duo / flower capital].
